Dr. Mary Winder
Family Physician |
Dr. Mary Winder has been with the AVIHC since 2005 and has extensive knowledge and experience in the area of addictions and Methadone treatment. Along with being a family physician with a private practice in Nanaimo, Dr. Winder offers preceptorships for medical residents, nurse practitioners, and student nurses. | |

Dr. Rick Roe

Dr. Rick Roe has been with the AVIHC since 2006, has a private family practice in Nanaimo, and also works at the local Correctional Centre and Detox. Dr. Roe specializes in addiction medicine and hepatitis C treatment. | |

Fran Falconer RN

Fran is a hepatitis C support nurse, and works very closely with our physicians providing hepatitis C patient education and information as well as administering treatment to patients at the Health Centre. | |

Anna is our clinic nurse who provides immunizations, STI testing, PAP's, chronic disease management, wound care and harm reduction education. Anna is also our HIV care team nurse. | |

Caieta is a registered Social Worker with experience working with individual struggling with both mental and physical health issues, substance abuse and homelessness in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver. | |

Dana Becker

Dana is the manager of the Health Centre providing team support and facilitation. She has been with AIDS Vancouver Island since 1995 and facilitated the opening of the AVI Health Center in 2003. | |

Trish is our medical office assistant and receptionist and offers a warm and stable front office environment. She has many years of experience working with people in a methadone program. |
