Hep C Program

Everyone who comes to the AVI Health Centre for methadone treatment is required to have a liver function blood test that is performed either at our clinic, or a local lab. Testing for HIV, hepatitis C, B and A and syphilis are some of the test included in the initial work up. All lab results are reviewed by both the physician and hepatitis C support nurse, and all results and treatment options are discussed in detail with patients.

We provide hepatitis C information, support and treatment to all our patients, upon request or at the discretion of our staff. We offer leading edge Direct Observable Treatment (DOT).
